Personal Bio
Dr Neda Alband is an experienced consultant dermatologist at the Montrose Clinic London, offering expert care to both adults and children across the full spectrum of dermatological conditions. Her specialist interests include skin cancer, complex hair and nail disorders, alongside comprehensive general dermatology.
Within the NHS, Dr Alband has led a tertiary hair clinic in London, managing patients with challenging hair-loss and scalp disorders. She also serves as the dermatology clinical lead for a prominent private provider delivering NHS services, where she played a key role in establishing their dermatology department.
Dr Alband graduated from Bart’s and The London School of Medicine in 2010 and completed her postgraduate medical training in London. She undertook her dermatology specialist training at Cambridge University Hospitals, known for its rigorous standards.
Her strong research background includes a clinical research fellowship focused on Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) at the internationally respected Great Ormond Street Hospital. She has also contributed to the European Journal of Dermatology as the UK representative on its Residents’ Board.
Dr Alband has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, presented at major national and international conferences, and was honoured with the British Association of Dermatologists’ prestigious Bristol Cup award for her research on cutaneous graft-versus-host disease (GvHD).
A passionate educator, Dr Alband holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Cambridge and actively supervises and teaches dermatology trainees, nurses, and medical students.
Known for her evidence-based approach and compassionate care, Dr Alband was nominated for the ‘You Made a Difference’ award at Cambridge University Hospitals, with patients frequently praising her attentive and empathetic manner.
