Personal Bio
Dr Zahra Haider holds a MBBS from University College London, where she also completed a BSc in International Health and Development.
After completing her general medical training in London, she started her Dermatology career at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital and finished her specialist Dermatology training in the West Midlands.
Her NHS consultant experience is from Kings College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she is currently a substantive consultant.
Dr Zahra Haider has presented her work at regional, national, and international level. She has published articles on eczema, skin cancer and tele-dermatology in peer reviewed journals, including The British Journal of Dermatology and Clinical and Experimental Dermatology.
Dr Haider is also involved in research and has actively contributed to international and national research groups. She has also been a co-investigator for clinical trials in novel therapeutic agents for eczema. Outside of the speciality, she is passionate about medical education and has completed a Postgraduate certificate in Clinical Research, Education and Leadership from the University of Cambridge. She is passionate about patient safety and is currently the clinical governance lead for her department.
Dr Zahra Haider has experience in managing general dermatological concerns, both clinically and surgically, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hidradenitis supprativa, urticaria (hives), skin cancer, mole checks, and autoimmune blistering conditions.
